I began casually taking classes while at university, and discovered it gave me a physical and emotional boost, leaving me feeling really good in a way nothing else compared to. Without the crash of other highs, yoga practise started to give me some insight about my personality, and meditation started to give me some relief from anxiety and stress. A few years later, I found myself at a yoga class almost every day, and started working in a centre so I could take as many classes as possible. Soon enough I trained to be a teacher and it has been a huge part of my life for over 10 years now. I also work in theatre as a movement director and director, and my background is performance and dance. I think the body is fascinating, and the way we move and express ourselves physically is an important part of our over-all health. As a trained massage therapist, I also use my knowledge of stress patterns and anatomy in my yoga teaching. I know that yoga is a wonderful tool, as a way to get to know ourselves and our bodies so that we can work towards balance and happiness.
