I can teach singing all levels from beginners to professionals, whether you're a first-timer or looking to be coached for an audition. I'm qualified to teach either classical, or pop / jazz and soul singing using the Trinity and Guildhall Rock School Grade programmes or simply work on vocal coaching. I use a combination of vowel/consonant exercises like the ones used in SLS (speech level singing) to balance the voice and extend the range in a healthy, yet effective way. Most students preparing for GCSEs and A-levels and thinking of going to university would benefit from doing Grade 6 Vocal from Trinity Rock School Grades as your Grade 6 gives you 22 QFC points and 25-45 UCAS points.

After years of performing my songs in the Indie/Folk scene in London, I felt a bit stuck and in need of a musical change and challenge. In 2008, I decided to study piano as a second instrument to get some inspiration for new songs. My friend Olie, a respected guitarist, became my first Jazz influence and in 2009, we decided to start a commercial project known as 'The StainesTanzi Jazz Duo'. I attended a Jazz Improvisation course at the City Literary Institute in 2009, where I learned the basics and the wonderful swing feel! I started to sing regularly at local jam sessions, as well as professionally for weddings and corporate events. As my passion for Jazz become stronger, I enrolled in a three year BA Jazz programme at Middlesex University in 2010, where I am currently perfecting years of practical music experience and successfully merging Pop and Folk influences with Jazz. Have a listen to my vocals!

I cover north London, within five miles from N13, but preferably lessons should take place at my house.
No deposit for your lesson is required.
I will need to be notified 48 hours before the lesson if there is need for cancellation or rearrangement.
