From tasting principles to service technicalities , from terminology to wine classification, from wine grapes to wine styles, names and meanings, old world to new world...we will truly demystify the world of wine! I come from an Idyllic island in the bay of Naples in Italy, Ischia. Although wine is very much part of our culture…I was still fed milk like you all! It’s in London that I really fell in love with wine. My wine Career started in 2004 and I had the luck to work in top London venues such as the Westbury Hotel in Mayfair, Oxo tower Restaurant, China Tang at the Dorchester and Benares Restaurant in Mayfair (Michelin Star). I covered different roles, initially from Supervisor to sommelier, after head sommelier, Group Wine Buyer and Head of Wine department and Development. I see wine as a miracle. It magically captures world microclimates and winemakers philosophies becoming the most detectable finishing ingredient to a dish. It brings the world, the nature and the people together, gastronomically pleasing every single taste buds of ours! In 2010 was nominated as Restaurant Personality of the year by Imbibe Magazine and I was the consultant to Wine of Chile’s winner campaign “Curry and Carmenere” at the international Wine Challenge in the 2011.
