The perfect one-day course for people who love shoes! I can teach you how to design footwear from both creative and technical points of view, using templates, inspirational ideas and shoe blocks. No drawing or creative experience is necessary; I will take your favourite design and teach you how to turn it into a pair of shoes!
I'm a shoe maker, and I can teach you how to make your own shoes! I learned everything I know about footwear back in Australia. It was only once I moved to England and didn’t have any access to traditional footwear machines, that I realised I was going to have to find another way. I developed the 'I CAN make shoes’ method over two years of trial and error. I now teach shoe making without the use of any heavy machinery, which means you can repeat what you have learned from your own home. Anything from sandals to stilettos!
Most workshops are run from our studio in Hackney Downs (E8 2BT), although I am also available to run bespoke workshops for private groups in other parts of London for an additional cost.
All core materials are included in the cost of my workshops, but any extra embellishments will be at the cost of the student. Full payment must be made for all workshops before the commencement date. Currently we accept credit card and debit card payments by PayPal.
Please note that if you are unable to attend a workshop, I am happy for you to send a friend in your place or if we can accommodate a date change we will, but refunds are not available.
